During the Holiday Season of 2011 Allen Technology Advising is working with small and medium businesses in the Denver and Jefferson County area to provide on-site electronics recycling pickup and a food drive pickup. Metech Recycling is co-sponsoring this event with us and the recipient of our food drive is the Denver Area Boy Scouts of America.
We bring the recycling effort to our clients, not the other way around. So plan ahead, inspect your worksite, comb through your home office and that kids corner desk. What technology is cluttering your space and collecting dust. We want to help you while helping our environment.
So don’t miss the boat. We will be calling each of our clients to schedule a time. Reach out to Ryan at 303-670-5900 if you don’t get a call…or if you just want to make sure you get the time that you want. We will schedule one time for an entire client site. All employees are welcome to bring in home items. Make this event work for you!
Q: What items are acceptable to bring?
A: We are taking ALL electronics. The list includes: Computers, Telephones, Mini-towers, Telephony equipment, Laptop computers, Adding machines, Monitors, Calculators, Servers, Typewriters, Workstations, Label makers, Keyboards, Copiers, Mice, Fax machines, Joystick game controllers, Answering machines, Printers, Printer cartridges, Digital cameras , Zip drives, Batteries, Speakers, PDAs, Pagers, VCRs, Hubs, DVD players, Routers, Cable converter boxes, Scanners, Remote controls, Digital projectors, Stereo equipment ,UPS units, Radios, Main frames, Portable CD players, Component parts, Portable game players, Cables, GPS receivers, 3-in-1 devices, printer/copier/fax machines, and any kind of battery.
Q: Why should I recycle electronics?
A: Computers, printers and other electronics contain potentially dangerous chemicals such as mercury and lead which can be toxic to living things and human health if allowed to leach into our ground water from a landfill. Precious metals can be extracted from some items, thus reducing the environmental destruction of mining.
Q: Can someone read the data on my hard drive?
A: We recycle through a company that “chips” all of the equipment, including hard drives, breaking it up into pieces that can be recycled separately so you can be assured that your equipment will be destroyed. We will provide Certificates of Destruction for businesses that are interested.
"We have had a longstanding business relationship with Allen Technology Advising and they have always been incredibly responsive to our needs. I know that it would be very difficult for our organization to get the same level of service and expertise anywhere else for a comparable price."
