Ben Allen

Founder and President

Ben loves what technology can do for business, but loves the people aspect more. His secret power is his enthusiasm and he brings it to all of the relationships that he has.

Ben was the Business Technology Liaison at Price Waterhouse where he managed the technology for the 35,000 person audit department, reporting directly to the CIO of the worldwide firm.  He left on July 18th of 1998, the day Price Waterhouse merged with Coopers and Lybrand, to create a technology business that serves all of the technology needs of 10-200 person clients.

Ben is married to the love of his life, Kathleen, Allen Technology’s CEO. They have raised 4 children together. Ben’s focus is business development and his passion is youth exchange. Together with Kathleen, he has hosted 10 exchange students.

Jordan Arvik

Service Engineer & Quality Control Specialist

US Army Veteran

Jordan joined the Allen Technology Advising team in December 2015, after working for 13 years in the commercial property management industry. He is a graduate of Evergreen High School and a U.S. Army veteran, having worked as a saxophone player in the Army band.

As Quality Control Specialist, Jordan serves dual functions of front line technical assistance and customer service. By helping to ensure that our customers are aligned with best practices and standards, and making recommendations for needed technology upgrades, Jordan works to keep our customers operating efficiently.

Jordan is a film buff, known for his uncanny ability to quote movie lines. He also enjoys rooting on our local Denver-area teams (especially the Colorado Avalanche), playing poker, golfing (badly), snowboarding, and video gaming.

Danielle Thompson

Service Engineer

Danielle has 9 years of technical experience that she brought to Allen Technology Advising. Her happiness and good nature could be referred to as “bubbly” (a term she wanted us to share) but we call it “super awesomeness.”

She graduated with a Bachelor of Technology from Morrisville State College in New York. Danielle and her husband (they started “going out” in 8th grade over 20 years ago) moved to Colorado from New York because it is the best place to live in the United States. They have two fur babies (Frankie and Dude).  Her hobbies include go carting, haunted houses, 4 wheeling and hiking. She also regularly participates in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Jeff Ross

Service Engineer

Jeff has over 14 years serving in the technology industry, working with major internet service providers and heathcare clients.  His customer service skills are top notch and he immediately jumped in at Allen Technology with a “tell me how I can help” attitude.

Jeff earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2003 and has been working in the field ever since.  His work has taken him outside our borders, bringing information to new parts of the world. Jeff’s passion for connecting people and ideas is his driving force, and he loves the challenge of assisting users who have specialized technology needs for their accessibility requirements.

Jeff, his wife Jennah, and their two children, Bryce and Madelynn, enjoy the many comforts Colorado has to offer:  hiking, camping, great city life, and fun in the snow! Jeff has lived in Colorado for over 10 years, graduating from the hills of New England to the mountains of the Rockies.  He and Jennah enjoy developing their home chef skills and often use those skills to serve meals with Ronald McDonald House and Denver-area women’s shelters.

Melissa Pros

Project Lead and Service Desk Manager

US Air Force Major – 17D Cyber Operator

Melissa brings structure and accountability to Allen Technology, which helps to keep our technicians focused on addressing clients’ needs. She is extremely hard working and can communicate with all of our clients in such a way that inevitably they become BFFs.

Melissa spent over 10 years overseas with the US Department of Defense after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Illinois Institute of Technology. Melissa managed the 4th largest network in the DoD (Department of Defense) and is a cybersecurity warrior (with Cyber wings to prove it!)

Her passion is travel and she has been to over 80 (eighty!) countries, many of them while she was living in Turkey, Japan, Germany & India. When she isn’t geeking out at Allen Technology, she is volunteering with Bunker Labs, ChickTech & Denver Non-profit Tech for Good to help bring technology solutions to address social development needs.

Ryan Curtis

Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Ryan Curtis is a native Coloradoan, growing up in Evergreen, Colorado. Ryan played football and baseball for Evergreen High School and Conifer High School, and after graduating from CHS, he attended Mesa State College, where he graduated with a BS in Environmental Engineering/Science.

Ryan is highly skilled in organizational management, much of which he learned while working as a manager during college. After meeting his wife at Mesa State, they moved back to Denver and Ryan worked for Kohl’s Department Stores as Freight Manager and then Customer Service Manager; during which time his store was ranked in the top 20 in ‘Service’ in the entire company.

Ryan met Allen Technology Advising’s CEO, Ben Allen, at his own wedding to Juliana and soon came to work for Allen Technology as the company’s Operations Officer. Ryan’s integral management role keeps the team’s skills and operations running smoothly and includes employment/human resources, office management, account management, technical documentation, technical recruiting, contract management, and internal systems implementation and design.

Edward Aldridge

Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Edward just gave up the reins as a founding partner of a 7 year old cybersecurity business in Houston, because he loves Evergreen and really does not want to live in a place with 12 lane highways and $40 in tolls per day.

He has 20 years of technology experience and is extremely forthright on his views of security, business continuity and network infrastructure. He is meticulous in his research and tasks and brings fantastic Technical Engineering skills to Allen Technology.

Edward lives with his Schnauser, Lily. When he’s not tackling firewalls and building servers, Edward loves 4x4ing in Colorado, video games and hiking around the Rockies.

Kathleen Allen

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Kathleen (then Macdonald) met Ben Allen in a bar in 1993 on campus at DePauw University where she was working on her undergraduate degree. Her talents are concentrated in sales and marketing, specifically searching for amazing companies that want to partner with Allen Technology Advising’s incredible technicians! “I like to think of our company and clients as one big family!” Kathleen says.

Kathleen has a passion for endurance sports and fitness. She is a certified personal trainer, training clients and teaching a variety of group fitness classes at Evergreen Parks and Recreation. She is a competitive triathlete, competing in numerous triathlons of every distance, including 3 full Ironman races (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run). Kathleen has qualified for the ITU World Championship team four times.

Denise Noyes

Office Manager/Finance Manager

After the sale of her business in 2012 Denise stayed on for a year to implement the transition to the new company; the employment agreement ending in May 2013. Denise then began the process of searching for another position at the same time Allen Technology was searching for a Quickbooks guru. Through an Allen Technology client (her husband, Dan), the connection was made and Denise has been keeping the books and technical staff at Allen Technology running ever since.

As an officer of a small company Denise was used to dealing with new challenges on a regular basis and is known for staying calm and steady in challenging circumstances. Her years of business experience equipped Denise with the skills and knowledge needed to manage the financial oversight of ATA.

“The greatest reward I receive professionally is working with people; being there to listen when there are problems, helping when possible.  I also enjoy the opportunity to learn new tasks and develop new skills. As office manager my goal is to take care of the non-technical details of the business allowing our technicians to focus on what they do best.”

Lani Langton

Allen Technology Business Advisor – Action Coach

Lani is responsible for helping Allen Technology implement massive transformation in our culture and the way we deliver service.

Langton grew up in Hawaii and attended MiraCosta College in California. She has worked with Action Coaching since 2014 and uses that background to work closely with Ben and the Management team.

Lani is from Hawaii and she and her wife have a baby daughter. She loves hockey and golf and met Ben at Denver Rotary.
